Chefs Offer Free Food To Government Employees During Shutdown!

Just because the government is shutdown does NOT mean people’s tummies have shutdown!!

So to lend a helping hand to all of the furloughed workers, two chefs have decided to offer free food to all government employees who are currently on unpaid leave!

World famous spanish chef José Andrés was the first to make the announcement on Twitter that he would be giving away free sandwiches at his three restaurants until the shutdown was over:

How awesome is that!!

Not to be outdone, former Top Chef contestant Bryan Voltaggio made a similar announcement on Twitter saying he would be giving away cheese pizza to ALL government employees!

Well, almost all government employees:

It’s so great to see two guys like this helping out anyway they can, simply out of the kindness of their hearts without expecting anything in return!

Now maybe the government can learn a thing or two from them!
