Take that, breakup rumors!
Despite whispers of a split, Cody Simpson and Miley Cyrus are VERY much still together — because if they weren’t, the former’s phone background would be a bit weird.
The 22-year-old Australian singer took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday to show his fans that his iPhone background photo is a childhood pic of his 26-year-old girlfriend.

How sweet! (See, there are good men out there!)
The post was undoubtedly a response to the Radar Online source who claimed the twosome called it quits. As we reported, the insider told the outlet:
“They are taking a break, but want to remain friends. She said she just needs to focus on herself.”
Sounds like Miley to us — but shortly after, a source told E! News that the two are not broken up after all, countering:
“Miley and Cody saw each other last week when he visited her in Tennessee. They are fine and are still dating… Miley has been resting from her vocal surgery but has been in touch and seen Cody recently.”
And Cody’s seen her every time he’s looked at his phone, apparently!
Speculation of a split also swirled due to some questionable Instagram activity from the pop starlet as of late — specifically, the deletion of a cute PDA video with Simpson she uploaded weeks ago.
In case you missed it, the video showed the Mother’s Daughter singer in a long black dress with a black hat and heels while her new beau spun her around her living room. It was a sweet display, but fans took the clip as an insult to her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, who was dancing with the starlet in the exact same setting at their wedding less than a year before.
Followers wrote the following:
“Isn’t that the same fire place her a Liam took wedding photos in front of? Talk about a punch.”
“The same place you were dancing on you wedding day w Liam, oh Miley…..”
The oh, Miley-ing must have inspired the singer to delete the video, because it’s no longer on her page. While fans initially thought the removal meant there was trouble between her and her man, The Masked Singer Australia winner’s new post makes us think she just didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
Then again, Miley’s always been an enigma…
