David Eason Narrowly Escapes Jail Time Over Missing Child Support Payments

David Eason under investigation for Killing Jenelle Evans' dog

David Eason could have headed to jail on Friday — for reasons other than senselessly killing Jenelle Evans’ dog, Nugget.
According to TMZ, the Teen Mom 2 alum had fallen thousands of dollars behind in child support payments to his baby momma Olivia Leedham — whom he dated in 2013 and had a son with — and could have wound up behind bars if he didn’t pay up today.
But per Radar Online, the controversial former reality TV star arrived to North Carolina’s New Hanover Civil Court this morning, with a court clerk adding:

“Mr. Eason is now current on his child support obligation. He paid his child support. He doesn’t owe any child support of as of today.”

Eason will have to continue to pay his child support every month.
The 30-year-old and his ex have reportedly been in a nasty custody battle for years, ever since Leedham went to court claiming that the pipe welder was physically abusive towards her; she claims he shoved her when she was eight months pregnant and left her in the middle of the road at night when she was seven months pregnant.

This comes as no surprise, seeing as Evans has also accused her husband of domestic violence in the past. Last fall, the MTV personality called 911 claiming he “assaulted” her, causing her to break her collarbone — however, she later dismissed the incident as a drunken misunderstanding.
Aside from his child support woes, Eason is currently under criminal investigation for savagely beating and shooting Jenelle’s french bulldog after the pup nipped at their two-year-old daughter Ensley’s face. As seen in a video David later posted, the tot was clearly invading Nugget’s personal space and the nip did not break any skin.
But the gun enthusiast still saw fit to execute the animal himself. As we reported, Eason allegedly “sprung up, grabbed the dog by the throat and slammed it on the ground” after it took a nip at Ensley. He then reportedly began brutally beating the dog inside the house before throwing it out the front door, grabbing his pistol and a shotgun, and walking back outside to shoot it.

Jenelle was said to be home at the time, but was apparently so shocked and traumatized that she never said anything to her husband afterwards. She has reportedly since fled the home and is considering divorcing Eason.
Authorities first conducted a wellness check at the family’s North Carolina home later Tuesday, where David reportedly told them that the dog was alive. At the time, officials said they couldn’t look into the matter any further until a direct witness to the alleged killing filed a police report against Eason.
But since then, Animal Control has stepped in. Per TMZ, North Carolina’s Attorney General’s Office received 138 complaints from the animal welfare office once news broke that the dog had been killed.
Animal Control officers went to David’s home on Thursday to investigate, but were unable to talk with him because the family’s pit bull was on his front porch and “No Trespassing” signs were posted on the property. They reportedly didn’t feel it was safe to enter, so officials left and asked the Sheriff’s Department to complete the visit.
As of Thursday afternoon, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was conducting a “joint investigation into allegations of animal cruelty” with Columbus County Animal Control.
