5 Blink-And-You'll-Miss-'Em Celebrity Cameos In Deadpool 2!

no title
If you thought there were a lot of pop culture references and fourth wall breaks in the first film, strap in for Deadpool 2.
In addition to the many, many meta jokes you surely saw, there were some celeb cameos so quick you could have missed them while reaching into your popcorn!

Hey, who’s gonna say no to Ryan Reynolds, right?
See five of the biggest (below)!
[SPOILERS, DA DOI!]
1. Taylor Swift’s Cats
no title
When he’s recovering from injuries in the X-Mansion, he’s wearing pajamas, including a cute cat T-shirt. But those aren’t just any cute cats — if you look close, those are Meredith Gray and Olivia Benson, Taylor Swift‘s beloved pets! Taylor has long been a focus of Deadpool’s fascination in the comics, along with Bea Arthur and unicorns.
2. The Entire Cast Of X-Men
no title
While complaining he never sees any of the other X-Men, Wade walks past a room in which James McAvoy, Evan Peters, Nicholas Hoult, and the rest of the team are casually having a conversation — and doesn’t even notice! Did you?
3. Brad Freakin’ Pitt!
no title
Brad Pitt is enjoying his cameos lately! When a new invisible character called Vanisher finally becomes visible for a single second, he’s played by the Fight Club star, who was in talks to play Cable in the film until scheduling got in the way.
4. Matt Damon?
no title
When Cable first comes back to the past, there’s a Terminator-like scene where he asks a couple rednecks what year it is. One is Disney‘s good luck charm Alan Tudyk, the other is in heavy prosthetics to hide his identity.
In the credits he’s listed as “Dickie Greenleaf” — which cinephiles my recognize as the name of Jude Law‘s character in The Talented Mr. Ripley, the identity Tom Ripley assumes at the end of the film. Hence why people believe Matt Damon pulled another Thor: Ragnarok and did a surprise cameo!
5. Christopher Plummer (Kinda)
no title
This non-cameo cameo goes by so fast, it’s almost impossible to see — and requires multiple pieces of context.
Cable is watching news footage when a crawl goes by at the bottom of the TV saying Christopher Plummer turned down the role offered him in the new Deadpool movie.
This is an obvious reference to Plummer digitally replacing Kevin Spacey in the recent All The Money In The World.
But why?
Well, since production ended, costar T.J. Miller has faced his own accusations. And while they likely didn’t have the time or money to replace him, this joke is almost certainly a last minute acknowledgement of it.
Miller will reportedly not be returning for the next film.
