Dog The Bounty Hunter PROPOSES To Beth Chapman's Friend On TV -- But The Two Aren't Actually Engaged!

Dog the bounty hunter proposes to rumored GF

Dog The Bounty Hunter is ready to walk down the aisle a second time months after the death of his wife — or at least that’s what it looks like!

The Dog’s Most Wanted star made an appearance on Dr. Oz‘s show this week and apparently had a moment of weakness that saw him proposing to a woman his daughters reportedly have strong reservations about.

As you can see in the clip (below), recorded last week, Dog is consumed with emotion when he pops the question to a shocked Moon Angell, Beth Chapman‘s former assistant and friend.

According to TMZ, Dog told Moon he loved her and revealed that, during the break, he was talking to God in the bathroom. God apparently told him he should propose, so that’s what he did.

Despite the divine revelation, however, sources told the outlet that the famed bounty hunter simply got caught up in the moment; he did not give Moon a ring during the taping, and the two are not engaged. But insiders involved in the production claimed everyone in the studio thought the 66-year-old really meant what he said.

Whether or not they intend to wed, Dog (real name Duane Champan) has been rumored to be dating Moon for a few weeks now. The reality star previously denied the reports, insisting that Moon — who was maid of honor at his and Beth’s wedding – is just a friend who’s been helping him get through the death of his wife.

He told Radar Online earlier this month:

“She has just been so good to me. I’ll get really emotional and find myself getting into a dark hole and she will tell me to suck it up. So it’s been good having her by my side.”

Dog’s kids say otherwise, however. His daughter Lyssa Chapman viciously called Moon out on Twitter, letting all of social media know she thinks the woman is spending a bit too much time by her dad’s side.

She wrote:

“You’re disgusting woman. Any person who moves in on a man weeks after losing his wife, who you were supposed to be a ‘friend’ to, Is the lowest scum on the planet-Which for you wasn’t that far of a step down from where you were before. God will get you MARY !!!”

For what it’s worth, Dog did say Beth did give her blessing — possibly even an urging — for the father-of-twelve to eventually re-wed. He told Radar:

“I’m very lonely. Beth [and I] talked about death and I’d say, ‘you know Beth, I’ll never get married and I’ll never have a girlfriend again.’ She’s like ‘shut up. You will too. You need a woman beside you.’ ”

The question is: would Beth be okay with that woman being her former bestie?
