Ellen DeGeneres didn’t often talk about her father, but he sounds like a wonderful man.
The host revealed to her studio audience that the “a lot going on” in her life she had mentioned earlier in the week was the passing of Elliott DeGeneres at the age of 92.
She describes him as being a kind man who was always proud of her — and also, interestingly, having survived nearly a century without ever going to the doctor.

Ellen ends with one of the most hopeful images a surviving loved one can hope for… a rainbow above her studio!

When I was a kid, my dad took us on one vacation to Warner Bros. Studios. He loved this business. He loved that I was in it. When he died, I saw this rainbow over the stage they named for me. pic.twitter.com/QQswe3mwfi
