Even though she makes $225K a year, E! talking head Debbie Matenopoulos is seeking $12,558 in temporary monthly spousal support from her estranged husband, Jay Faires, to help pay for the home they once shared.
In a court order, Matenopoulos said, “It is imperative that the court order [Faires] to assist me in preserving [our home]. I will not allow [him] to force me into selling [it] as it has been my only solace during this tumultuous time.”
She also alleges that Faires has not been fully honest about money he’s earned prior to their split, “I believe [Faires] is or may be entitled to much more financially than what he has so far disclosed. I have also discovered that [he] may have other bank accounts, foreign and domestic, that he has not disclosed.”
L.A. divorce attorney Lynn Soodik, who is NOT involved with Matenopoulos’ case, said a spouse who doesn’t fully disclose a certain asset risks losing it all to the other as a penalty.
What drama!
We totally get why people want a pre-nup before tying the knot…or not want to get married at all!
