Sorry, Game Of Thrones Fans! Maisie Williams Says Premiere Date Quote Is 'Completely False'!

no title
Who told you Game Of Thrones was premiering next spring? NO ONE! Ha!
HBO has only confirmed fans would see the final season next year, but late last week Maisie Williams supposedly narrowed it down to the month.

She was quoted in multiple outlets as giving the big reveal, saying:

“We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April [2019]. That’s a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes. There’s a lot that goes into the final edit. You would not want to rush this season at all. We owe it to our audience and our fans to really do this final season to the best of our abilities.”

Apparently that was NOT what she said! Arya herself tweeted out the correction, saying:

Innerestingly, the Metro interview everyone was citing now has this as the quote:

“We wrap in December and we air our first episode in 2019. There’s a lot that goes into the final edit. You would not want to rush this season at all. We owe it to our audience and our fans to really do this final season to the best of our abilities.”

So was Maisie misquoted? Or did HBO send a shadow baby over to stick a sword in the story??
