Golden Globes Going Live Nationwide!

goldenglobeslive.jpg
It feels like the Golden Globes just passed, but already execs in Hollywood are planning for next year’s event.
And one big decision has already been made. Next year the Globes will be LIVE all over the U.S.!
Until now, the awards show has aired live on the East coast but has been tape delayed in the West. The delay has usually been in effect to try and boost the ratings in primetime.
But, judging by the fact that this year’s show had a 26% decrease in viewers from 2 years ago, we’re guessing any change will help.
Execs decided that with all the online news and leaked footage of the event that takes place right away, there’s really no point in delaying the West Coast feed anymore.
The Globes next year will air on January 17th, with nominations announced this December 15th.
Besides, do people still tune in for the show, or just for the red carpet?
