Ground Beef Recalled Over Possible Salmonella

Cargill Meat Solutions in Pennsylvania is recalling almost 30,000 pounds of ground beef.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that the ground beef could be contaminated with Salmonella.
The product subjected to recall is:

“14 pound chub packages of “Grnd Beef Fine 85/15″, packed 3 chubs to approximate 42-pound cases.”

The expiration date has passed for this meat product but the problem is some consumers could have the beef frozen in their freezer.
The products to be recalled also have the establishment number “EST. 9400” inside the USDA mark of inspection stamped on the package.
The meat was actually repackaged and sold in consumer sized individual portions, so for a full list of recalled items, click HERE.
If you’re unsure, just throw it out.
It’s better to throw away $8 of meat than get salmonella.
