Dylan Thomas of West Australia was on a trip to Bali, which was totally ruined by one tiny little jerk.
A tiny little jerk that was crawling INSIDE HIM!
That jerk wasn’t some evil scientist who shrank themselves down into a submarine to wreak havoc inside Dylan’s body…
It was a freakin’ tropical spider!!
This is so sickening! The spider apparently crawled into his abdomen through an old appendix scar while he was sleeping!
Then? It slowly burrowed up his body over the course of three days!!
Excuse us, we’re gonna go curl up into a ball of cringe.
Dylan said:
“It wasn’t really a tickling sensation, obviously once the venom started to affect my skin it was a really burning sensation like a searing feeling.”
After going to a medical center, he was sent home with antihistamines to treat what they assumed was just an insect bite.
Once the red line up his abs started to blister, though, he went right to a dermatologist.
He said:
“[…] After running tests and putting things inside my stomach they finally found out it was a tropical spider that’s been living inside of me for the last 3 days, managed to get it out luckily.”
Turns out that pain and red line was from spider venom. That’s seriously the most horrifying thing ever.
Thankfully, the spider was dead when they pulled it out!

The spider was apparently only “a bit bigger than the size of a match head,” according to Dylan. Which still doesn’t make it any less terrifying.
The arachnid was taken away for testing so he’ll soon know what specific type of spider crawled inside him.
We’re not going to Bali anytime soon. LOLz!
