Today’s the big day (or, for some of us, the day we want to forget)!
If you’re one of the lucky ones with a date this Valentine’s day, a little preparation for a kiss at the end of the day will go a long way. Specifically, you need to make sure your breath smells fresh and clean! Here are some tips from Margaux J. Rathbun, B.S., N.T.P. (Founder of Authentic Self Wellness) to taste sweet for your date:
Avoid spicy foods, anchovies, blue cheese, garlic, onions, pastrami, pepperoni, Roquefort cheese, salami, and tuna. These types of foods can leave an oil in the mouth that will release an icky odor for up to twenty-four hours. Nobody wants to kiss somebody with moldy-cheese breath!
Pucker up with a piece of parsley! Parsley is a natural and nutritious way to freshen your breath while detoxifying your body. This comes from chlorophyll, the same substance that makes it green. Dozens of studies have shown the ability of chlorophyll to purify and rejuvenate the body.
Happy smooching!
