If any of you were hoping to see a collaboration between Jack White and Dan Auerbach sometime in the near future, you might not want to hold your breath!
The former White Stripes frontman is currently going through a nasty divorce with his soon-to-be ex-wife Karen Elson, and things took an even uglier turn recently when she tried to file for a restraining order, claiming the rockstar was threatening and harassing her!
Karen printed out a few email exchanges between the two of them, and all salty language aside, there doesn’t really seem to be any threats coming from Jack. However, we did learn that he is NOT a big fan of Mr. Auerbach’s!
In one letter, the Seven Nation Army shredder writes about how he doesn’t want their kids attending the same school together, saying:
“My concern with Auerbach is because I don’t want the kids involved in any of that crap. You aren’t thinking ahead. That’s a possible twelve f***ing years I’m going to have to be sitting in kids chairs next to that a**hole with other people trying to lump us in together. He gets yet another free reign to follow me around and copy me and push himself into my world.”
Wow! Why don’t you tell us how you really feel, Jack!!
The White Stripes and The Black Keys competed in the blues rock scene for the past several years, but it’s a little surprising to hear White use such strong language considering he’s been a much bigger figure in the music scene for the past decade!
We guess he didn’t take to kindly to losing out on all of those Grammys this last year!
It’s the shame the two don’t get along, because not only would we love to see them collaborate, but Dan knows EXACTLY what Jack is going through right now! They’re just two Lonely Boys!!
