Jenny McCarthy Officially Joins The View As New Co-Host!

We had been hearing rumors that Jenny McCarthy would be the next lady to join The View. And now it’s official!

Barbara Walters announced on Monday that the fabulously funny lady will be brought on as a permanent host this September! Barbara said of Jenny:

“Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor. She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view. Jenny will be a great addition to the show as we usher in an exciting new chapter for ‘The View.'”

Jenny Mack is no stranger to the table on The View either! She’s appeared on the show 17 times in the past and has been a guest co-host on 8 separate occasions!

Jenny also spoke today about how excited she is to start her new job:

“I’m beyond thrilled to be joining Barbara and the other amazing women at the table. I look forward to helping make hot topics a little bit hotter, and showing my mom that my interrupting skills have finally paid off.”

There is SO much that Jenny is going to add to this show! She’s one hot mama who’s just as much brains as beauty!

The View probably isn’t done hiring either! They’ll have a few more chairs to fill following Elisabeth Hasselbeck‘s departure last week and Joy Behar‘s announcement that she will soon be leaving the show. Barbara Walters has also scheduled her retirement from television for sometime next year.
