The 39-year-old actress revealed she dropped her son on his head, fracturing his skull. The injury was so severe that Sid had to be admitted to an intensive care unit for treatment and observation. Mollen shared the details of what went down in the caption of her Instagram post on Wednesday.
She wrote:

“On Saturday evening, I dropped my son on his head causing him to fracture his skull and landing him in the ICU. I am forever grateful to Lenox hill downtown and @nyphospital for their immediate response and aid. Thank you to all of the nurses, neurologists, pediatricians, residents, cafeteria staff and brave women that keep the visitor’s bathrooms clean.”

Ugh, so crazy! It sounds like the concerned parents got the medical help they needed just in time.
The Angel alum continued with words of praise and appreciation for her husband in the wake of the accident:

“Not sure how this post turned into an Oscars acceptance speech… But @biggsjason Thank god for you! Thank god, thank god, thank god. It has been a traumatic week but Sid is home now taking things slowly and recovering nicely. He is also eating a lot of chocolate dipped ice cream cones and plans to try cherry dipped soon.”

Jenny’s post ended with a message of comfort for the moms out there who’ve been in her shoes before:

“My heart goes out to all parents who have or will ever find themselves in this kind of position. You are not alone…”

We’re so glad to hear that in the end, the little one is doing well and recovering.
And in a climate where moms are often shamed left and right for their parenting decisions, we applaud the mother-of-two for being so candid about dropping her own kid.

Seriously, the mommy shaming trolls are always watching!

Luckily, in this case, the reception to Mollen’s transparency was overwhelmingly positive. A few of the actress’ famous friends and followers had her back and left messages of support in the comments section of her post.
The Office alum Angela Kinsey reminded her that as a parent sometimes you just have to do the best you can:

“Sending you and your family my love. I am so glad Sid is okay!! That must have been so scary. As parents we try our best but things can go south in a split second. Thank you for sharing.”

And Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter sent her love to the Biggs family, too, saying:

“Oh my god Jenny that is so scary and I’m so sorry you guys are going through this. Fast recovery for Sid! Sending love ❤️❤️❤️”

“I have scrolled and scrolled and have yet to find a single asshole comment. Jenny, you have attracted the best kind of followers and supporters. We’ve all been there, I am so sorry. Wishing him a speedy recovery!”
“I so so appreciate you using your platform to be transparent about something that is so mortifying but also so common. Shit happens. I hope everyone is recovering well.”
“Oh honey, I’m sure that was so fucking scary for you, for him, for all of you. Thank you for always being so honest and up-front about motherhood. These things do happen and you have probably really comforted someone who’s been in a similar situation. We mamas gotta keep showing up and rooting for each other. So very glad Sid is okay! Enjoy those cones, bud.”

Sending lots of love and healing to Jenny and her family!
