It must be such a hard life being part of one of the biggest movies ever…
Any time Titanic‘s My Heart Will Go On plays, Kate Winslet is just filled with sea sickness!
She says of the song:
[I feel] like throwing up [when I hear it]. No, I shouldn’t say that. No, actually, I do feel like throwing up. I wish I could say, ‘Oh listen, everybody! It’s the Celine Dion song!’ But I don’t. I just have to sit there, you know, kind of straight-faced with a massive internal eye roll.
And get this – apparently she doesn’t even like boats anymore!! She says:
Honestly, I actually now get onto boats and say, ‘No jokes, okay? No jokes. Can we just move on from that? And if you have any jokes, let’s just get them out of the way right now. Thank you. Anyone? Jokes, jokes? Okay, moving on.’
LOL whaaat????
We guess we’d get sick of the song too… but c’mon, that movie cemented her place in Hollywood!!
She’s grown so much as an actress since then, yes, but we remember when she wanted the Titanic role more than anything else! She even sent James Cameron a rose after her audition!!!
So yeah, it’s understandable that the blockbuster theme song isn’t her favorite… but a little embracing of the roots every now and then would be first class!
But hey… at least she went to the 3D premiere!
