Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries may have finally settled on their divorce, but it doesn’t sound like the drama is over just yet!
The Brooklyn Nets basketball player looked like he was ready to take on his ex-wife head-on in court, but the two were able to come to an agreement behind closed doors without letting things get too messy.
So what led to Kris’s change of heart? If you believe what we are hearing, he apparently felt sorry for her!
A source close to the baller revealed:
“Yes, he was angry at Kim for the way their marriage ended and he truly did feel defrauded by her and the show. But lately, especially in recent weeks, he just feels sorry for her. She’s pregnant and obviously under a lot of stress. He didn’t want to be part of it any more.”
Hmmm. We’re having a bit of a hard time buying what this source is selling. But to carry on…
The source also said that Kris was worried that if the divorce was dragged out further, court dates could have interfered with his games as the Brooklyn Nets compete in the NBA playoffs.
While it makes sense for the baller to simply move on with his life, apparently he was also a little bit worried that he might not have the strongest case in court!
The source goes on to say:
“He also realized that he didn’t have a chance in hell of proving that Kim defrauded him. In the end, his lawyers were able to finally make him recognize that not only would he be missing out on the playoffs with the Nets, but would likely be ordered to pay Kim’s legal fees. Kris recognized it was a sh*t sandwich and chose to settle.”
We├óΓé¼Γäóre not quite sure what a “sh*t sandwich” is, but it sounds to us like he was afraid of a little competition!
So which is it Kris? Did you feel bad for Kim, were you thinking about your team, or were you simply afraid of losing? We’ll admit, one of these excuses sounds like the most viable… and it wasn’t Door 1 or 2!
Maybe he should just stick to doing what he does best pretty well and play some basketball! LOLz!
