Lance Armstrong To Testify Under Oath??

He must REALLY want to compete again!
The only problem is — can anyone ever trust him going forward??
Lance Armstrong apparently now WANTS to testify, under oath, before the USADA to see if he can get his lifetime ban reduced to something before he dies. LOLz!
He’ll have to approach this in a way that he hasn’t in the past, though, because we think saying that he “deserves” to come back to the sport is really arrogant. Why would you deserve to come back if you’ve thrown it under the bus??
Here’s what the USADA CEO had to say about it:

“We have been in communication with Mr. Armstrong and his representatives and we understand that he does want to be part of the solution and assist in the effort to clean up the sport of cycling. We have agreed to his request for an additional two weeks to work on details to hopefully allow for this to happen.”

Honestly, it would be great if he’s changed his ways. We just don’t really get the feeling he has — it feels like he was backed into a corner and admitted what he did wrong, and because he did that he thinks he can get an reward for it. The fact of the matter is, we’d want to see YEARS of reform and help to clean the sport before we’d want him anywhere near another race!
Plus, we’d like to see him do the right thing in any pending legal arenas too — like the handful of civil suits against him, including from SCA Promotions, a sports insurance company, that paid the cyclist more than $10 million in bonuses. Of course they’d want their money back, and of course he should have to give it back!!
