Fox News Host Credits Leonardo DiCaprio With Painting The Mona Lisa! Watch The Funny Flub HERE!

We always thought of Leonardo DiCaprio as a renaissance man — but according to Fox News, he was actually FROM the Renaissance!
On Thursday, host Shepard Smith accidentally credited The Revenant actor with painting the 16th century masterpiece La Gioconda, AKA the Mona Lisa!
The flub was made while Smith was discussing how scientists are attempting to identify the model used in the famous portrait.

But apparently it’s been a long week for the host, who credited the presently living heartthrob as the artist instead of Leonardo Da Vinci — and he didn’t correct himself AT ALL!
Interesting enough, the Oscars nominee was named after the famous Italian artist! In a 2013 interview, Leo said:

“My dad says he and my mom were visiting the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, and stopped to look at a Leonardo da Vinci painting. My mom was pregnant with me, and I started kicking furiously, so my dad said, ‘That is an omen.'”

Maybe the Fox News host knew that story — or maybe he’s just pitching Leo’s next movie role! LOLz!
Check out the funny moment (below)!
