Wow. Someone is a little behind.
It’s been awhile since Michael Lohan has used his daughter’s celebrity to garner some attention for himself, but according to a new report, Papa Lohan is back to his old tricks. This time, he is insisting that Lindsay Lohan was tweaked on prescription pills the night she hosted Saturday Night Live earlier this year and laments that they hindered her from living up to her potential. He explains:
“I have to say this… on SNL, Lindsay was not using any illicit drugs or drinking, but is still on the prescription drugs that they gave her. And the meds that they give her are meds that they say she needs, but she doesn’t need them. But they kind of make her flat. She’s not acting at a full potential. It’s like the screen is down over her.”
First of all, when did Mike become a doctor? Since when does he know what medication she needs? Furthermore, where was he back in March when all this was happening? Can we all say the pot calling the kettle black from rehab?
But in Michael’s estimation, all that drug use is in Lindsay’s past now. After seeing her appearance on Glee, he’s convinced LiLo is back on the right track. He adds:
“Now when she did Glee I said, ├óΓé¼╦£Linds, get off the damn medication and let people see who you really are.├óΓé¼Γäó And for a couple days before Glee, she went off this stuff. And there were tears in my eyes when I watched Glee. THAT was Lindsay. Yeah that was her acting. That is Lindsay Lohan at the Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls potential. That is what she was.├óΓé¼┬¥
Hear that, Linds? It’s taken 25 years, but we think your Dad has finally given you his approval. Cue Daughter to Father and a slo-mo run into a hug!
Look, drug allegations aside, we just wish Mike would go back to his earlier promise, about not using Lindsay’s fame to get media attention. She deserves a father who looks out for her JUST because he wants her to be happy and safe … not so he too can be famous.
