Mel Gibson Doesn't Know WHAT Hollywood Should Forgive Him For

Oh, Mel Gibson!
The actor and director who has become better known for his bad temper than he has his professional body of work is wondering what he did to fall from grace.
During a recent interview about his short list of upcoming projects, the tabloid favorite was asked about Hollywood’s forgiveness and said this in response:

“They have to forget. I don’t even think they’re vindictive. I don’t think they think there’s reason to forgive. And forgive what to begin with? What are they asking for? It’s almost like, can you please forgive me for what? What did I do, really? It is kind of ridiculous. So it’s kind of hard to pinpoint exactly what needs to be forgiven and I don’t consider that anything does because I didn’t hurt anyone. But you know, hey that’s life. It ain’t easy and it’s not fair. You’ve just got to slip the old water off the back and move on.”

That’s a good philosophy!
After all, it’s totally “not fair” that he decided to go drunk driving in 2006 and was then expected to refrain from making anti-semetic and sexist remarks.
It’s also not fair that Oksana Grigorieva recorded those audio tapes as he verbally assaulted her over the phone for two minutes. And what was she thinking when she went to the police after he physically assaulted her too?
Let’s not forget Mel’s most recent woes either. Like when he called the Holocaust “mostly a lot of horsesh*t” in front of screenwriter Joe Eszterhas during ANOTHER expletive-filled and racist rant. Then there are the accusations from his step-mother, who was so scared of Mel that she filed for a restraining order against him!
So yes, it is “kind of hard to pinpoint exactly what needs to be forgiven” because, well, he’s made so many mistakes!
We’re sure Hollywood can eventually forgive the guy, but he shouldn’t forget what the industry and public are forgiving him for.
