Miley Cyrus has a new boyfriend following her breakup with Liam Hemsworth, which means Cody Simpson is one lucky guy!
As we previously reported, the Slide Away singer confirmed and defended the new fling on social media late last week after kissing pics of the pair hit the internet! It seemed things were even getting more serious as the Australian native penned a sexy poem possibly about his new boo.
Sadly, Miley had to be admitted to the hospital on Tuesday as she’s currently suffering from tonsillitis. She documented the update on her Instagram Story yesterday, sharing pics from her room and of her gown.

But just later, the 26-year-old posted a selfie in bed to her social media account, along with the caption:
“BF coming to visit me @ the hospy”
Cody made quite the entrance, as Cyrus shared:
“Arrived with roses and his guitar in hand #ImNotCrying #YoureCrying”
Aww! You can tell how much the gesture meant to the pop star, especially as she revealed the poet slash singer brought his guitar so he could sing a song he wrote for her.
No wonder she’s head over heels for this guy!
The newly-single star revealed:
“this sweeeeeet guy came to visit at the hospital and sang the sweeeeeeeetest song he wrote just for me.”
She continued:
“It’s too special to be only heard in full by my ears so I am currently pressuring him to DROP IT next week… & it’s working #GoldenThing.”
Followers could only hear a short sample of the track, but it must be good if Miley’s pressuring him to release it!
We can only hope exes Liam and Kaitlynn Carter aren’t keeping up with her social media…
After all, it was only a couple weeks ago Cyrus and the blogger called it quits after she announced her separation from the Aussie actor.
Still, did anyone guess the former Disney Channel star would be calling anyone her boyfriend or girlfriend so soon?
One source told ET how she and Simpson have “no plans to start dating each other exclusively,” and yet, here we are.
“Miley and Cody have been friends for years. They have hooked up in the past… They both just want to have fun and are open and honest with each other about that. [They] talk to each other about everything. They are very close and feel comfortable sharing details with each other about their lives.”
The insider added:
“Cody and Miley are in the same social circle and both have firsthand knowledge of what it’s like constantly being in the public eye. He is safe to her because they have been friends for years and she feels no pressure at all.”
Plus, while “he adores Miley,” he just isn’t “looking for a lifetime partner or even a girlfriend at the moment.”
The source concluded:
“[Miley] wants to show people she isn’t willing to change to satisfy others. She wants to be open and honest and hook up with whomever she pleases. Right now, Cody is that person.”
So, maybe her calling him “BF” is just a term of endearment, and nothing more. Although, they really do seem to be very into each other at the moment!
