Mischa Barton Reportedly NOT Returning To The Hills: New Beginnings -- Meet Her Replacement!

Mischa Barton replaced with Caroline D'Amore for season two of The Hills.

Sounds like it’s a new ending for Mischa Barton on The Hills: New Beginnings!

According to Us Weekly, The O.C. alum will NOT be back for the second season of the hit reality revival. But not to worry — MTV has apparently already found her replacement!

The outlet reports that DJ, actress, and chef Caroline D’Amore (above, right) will be joining the cast for season 2!

While it’ll be sad for her fans to see Barton go, her 34-year-old replacement sounds like she’ll be bringing lots of pizazz — and pizza — to the series. For those who don’t know, Caroline is the head chef and co-owner at D’Amores Pizza and a radio host on Heartbeatz on Dash Radio. She also produces DJ Diaries with Caroline D’Amore, so gurl clearly has a lot going on.

Like Barton, she’s also an actor, having appeared on Entourage and the 2009 horror comedy flick Sorority Row (which also famously featured her Hills co-star Audrina Patridge, btw). Unlike Barton, however, Caroline is used to being on reality TV: she’s previously appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami.

Caroline’s cast mates will more than likely appreciate her history of working in reality TV, as they were pretty frustrated by the fact that Mischa was a first time reality star when she joined the reboot in 2019.

Heidi Montag told Us at the time:

“I think it was a little frustrating for me at first, because, like, we’ve put our whole lives into this show before and after, so to have someone come in and, like, be so reserved was a little bit frustrating. I don’t think it was intentional, I think that is, like, how she is, and she’s just a little more closed and needed a little more time to open [up].”

Co-star Frankie Delgado echoed Montag’s sentiment, telling the outlet that Barton didn’t really know what she was signing up for when she agreed to join the cast:

“What we do is really hard to do and I think that she kind of proved it right. Like, she was like, ‘Yo, listen, this is the hardest thing I’ve done.’ You gotta put yourself out there. … People can spot that fakeness.”

Joining Caroline for season 2 of the reality show will be Patridge, Montag, and Delgado, along with Spencer Pratt, Whitney Port, Jason Wahler, Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter.

Do U think the new cast member will be a better fit, Perezcious readers?
