Molly Sims Reveals Dangerous Way She Stayed Thin During Her Supermodel Days

Molly Sims
This is a problem we see all too often.
In a recent interview with HuffPost Live, Molly Sims opened up about the frightening standards supermodels are held to when it comes to their weight.
The 42-year-old has graced the Victoria’s Secret runway and the cover of Sports Illustrated, but she’ll never forget the pressure she felt to stay a size 0.

The mom of two admits:

“I would go to the ashram, I would walk 14 miles a day. It was very difficult to stay the weight that you’re supposed to stay ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ for me.├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣ I’m genetically blessed in certain ways, but in terms of [├óΓé¼┬ª] being a certain size 0, it was very hard. I didn’t eat sometimes for a couple of days.”

Wow. Scary.
While she is comfortable with her body now, she was always very critical of it during her modeling career:

“You never think you look good at the moment, but then you see that picture five years later and you’re like, ‘Damn girl I look good.’ At that time, I thought I was so heavy.”

That’s crazy to us — especially since she’s one of the most well-known models EVER!
As if the pressure she put on herself wasn’t enough, the Kentucky native says she was constantly being judged by critics:

“I remember them saying to me, ‘You’ve got to stop going to the gym.’ I was always known as the muscular girl … Or, ‘Your nose is crooked.’ I didn’t know my nose was crooked for the first 20 years of my life. You get that in your head.”

Scott Stuber‘s wife admits she even desperately asked a plastic surgeon (who denied her request) to reduce the size of her calves when she was 23 years old:

“That’s the obsessiveness that we can get into, never feeling that you’re good enough.”

Looking back, the former Las Vegas star says her priorities have changed now that she has a husband and kiddos Brooks, 3, and Scarlett, 7 months:

“I think other things have become more important. What I look like, it doesn’t have as much weight. Now that I have a husband and a family and I have kids, I’m not consumed with trying to get into the size 2. Who gives a sh*t if I’m in a size 6? What we all learn is that beauty isn’t a size 2, it’s not a size 4, it’s not a size 12. It’s how you feel.”

Especially with the problems associated with extreme Photoshopping and online bullying, we think it’s great Miz Sims is taking the initiative to speak on such an important topic.
You’ve always looked FAB, Mollz!!
