A young mother is facing very real charges after stabbing her boyfriend in what she believed to be a “dream.”
On February 18, a family’s life changed forever after 21-year-old Morgan Lund attacked her unnamed boyfriend in front of their baby in their Oshkosh, Wisconsin home. According to investigators, Lund woke up around 6:30 a.m. that day and took their baby into the living room to play, where her boyfriend was asleep on the couch. Court documents reveal the mother told investigators she “had a muddled memory of something that might have been a dream, or her imagination, but she thought [victim] was yelling at their daughter.”
The legal complaint outlines how Lund told authorities she thought she saw a dark, non-human “figure” attacking her sleeping boyfriend — which had apparently been a recurring hallucination for the past six months. Chilling.

Lund then allegedly grabbed a pair of scissors, and began “trying to kill” the “figure.” Unfortunately, what she was actually doing was stabbing her defenseless boyfriend. He told cops that after he was abruptly woken up by the attack, he had to fight Lund off to preserve his own life, and while doing so, desperately demanded of her:
“What the f**k is wrong with you? Why in my sleep, bro?”
Per docs, when Lund came back into her senses, she told him she “did not know what was happening, she had a dream.” She quickly grabbed a towel for his bleeding wounds, while spewing something about, “I don’t want to lose custody,” according to the victim. The couple then called the police, who arrived just before 8:00 a.m. to find Lund crying, covered in blood, and applying pressure to her boyfriend’s wounds, according to the court complaint filed against her. Cops say she “had the appearance of blood coating both of her legs, her feet, both forearms, and the back and front of her hands.”
In total, Lund stabbed her boyfriend 19 times in the chest, face, hands, shoulders, and back. He told authorities he thought he was going to die — frankly it’s a miracle he didn’t! He added in court documents that throughout the three years they had been together, Lund had been violent on “several” other occasions:
“[The victim] stated that throughout their relationship, Morgan was very abusive, hitting him on several occasions. He reported that they constantly fight and argue. He stated they argue on a daily basis, but [he] shuts the argument down because he does not want to be involved with her any longer. She has threatened him in the past, but has never threatened to kill him as far as he is aware.”
In the time since the attack, the two have broken up.

Lund was arrested at the scene and a psychiatric evaluation was ordered for her. She is currently being held on a $250,000 bond on a charge of first-degree intentional homicide. Monday, she pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect, and her next hearing is slated for April 13.
