It looks like everyone’s favorite football head will move it on right back to cable TV!
Nickelodeon announced that it is reviving the beloved ‘90s show Hey Arnold as a TV movie!
According to Variety, the classic cartoon that ran from 1996-2004 will see life in a new movie that picks up where the original series left off!

We’ll even get to see the continuation of some unresolved plots — like the biggest burning question: what actually happened to Arnold’s parents?!
But the tale of a fourth grade boy and his friends living in the big city might not be the only classic Nicktoon to be brought back for new audiences!
Russell Hicks, president of content development and production and Nickelodeon, said:

“Kids who grew up on these characters are now of the age that they are having kids and families themselves. Our library has come to fruition and it’s time for it to start coming back to life.”

But don’t expect every 90’s Nicktoon to get the same treatment. Chris Viscardi, senior VP of content development for Nick’s properties, said:

“We are very selective about the series, what we go back to, and think about how we can take them and make them special. It’s really important to us to be really consistent with the storytelling that was there long ago on the series but also work to reimagine it , even just a little bit, and make it appealing and thrilling for today’s audience.”

It sounds like they’re really taking their time with this project to make sure it’s done right!
No premiere date is announced for the Hey Arnold movie, but we can’t wait!
