If you thought Black Friday-style riots were just for Americans, you’ve never seen the French around discounted Nutella.
The internet was covered in videos of supermarket riots breaking out across France on Thursday as shoppers pushed and shoved each other to save 70 percent on the seemingly addictive chocolate-hazelnut spread.
The animalistic mosh pits took place at Intermarch├â┬⌐ stores nationwide after Ferrero, Nutella’s manufacturer, decided to slash the price from 4.5 euros ($5.60) to 1.4 euros ($1.74).

Police were eventually called in to a few locations, as several people were injured in the hazel-nuttiness. One customer told the French Media:
“They are like animals. A woman had her hair pulled, an elderly lady took a box on her head, another had a bloody hand.”
Yikes. See the madness for yourself:

Honestly, we get it — and those who don’t, we have to wonder if they are clinically insane or have never eaten breakfast in France.
