Paris Hilton Reveals The Origin Of Her Famous Baby Voice!

no title
No one could ever forget Paris Hilton‘s baby voice that glared from our TVs every week on The Simple Life.
Now, the 34-year-old — who has a naturally deep voice in comparison — is claiming the whole thing was a facade, and she got exactly what she wanted from it!
The hotel heiress dished on the origin of the infamous baby voice with Broadly mag:

“[The baby voice] developed when I was like really young, when I was a baby or a kid. If I wanted to get something from my dad, I’d be like, ‘Dad, I really want this!'”

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

She had so much success as a kid, that her and her sister Nicky Hilton even managed to get a few pets out of using the technique. Eventually though, poppa Rick Hilton caught on and forced the young blondes to use their allowance — and soon enough they acquired chinchillas, rats, mice, hamsters, dogs, and even a goat.
Nicky remembered:

“I don’t think [our parents] found out [about the goat]. [The dollhouse] was [so] far away from the main house that my parents never went down there.”

Did we mention this far-away dollhouse also had running water and electricity?
Sounds like a childhood dream to us!
Alas, it didn’t take long for Paris to recognize the power of her baby voice when it came to relationships:

“I learned that from a young age, if my boyfriend got mad at me and I was a teenager, I’d [say in a baby voice], ‘I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.’ Then [boys would] just forgive you. When I was developing the character for The Simple Life, I just was like, ‘This is your voice for the show, do it all the time.’ I think if you’re actually like that in real life, it’s, like, beyond. But if you’re in on the joke, you know what you’re doing, you’re aware of it, and you’re doing it purposefully, I think it’s actually smart.”

The 2003 reality show’s producer Nicole Vorias backed up Paris’ claim that the airy voice and personality was intentional:

“[Paris] knew what she was doing. Remember that line when she was like, ‘What’s Walmart?’ She knew what Walmart was. She [created the line] herself and made it something that she knew [would] be like a watercooler [moment].”

So while we were all thinking Paris was just another shallow socialite… she was actually the mastermind behind a much bigger plan!
Ah, the trickery!
Nowadays Paris usually sticks with her regular voice, but she admits she slips back into habit from time to time:

“I always talk normal, but if I start doing it they’ll be like, ‘Sit down, baby voice.’ People who don’t know me probably assume I’m like the biggest airhead on earth.”

We guess you gotta do what you gotta do?? Loves it.
Do U think Paris was faking it?? SOUND OFF in the comments!
