We used to love Paula Deen and her recent healthy weight loss certainly is commendable, but we lost a LOT of respect for her when she hid her diabetes from her fans for years while continuing to teach them how to make the foods that gave her the ailment in the first place.
That’s why when someone came forward from her restaurant last year with allegations — accusing Paula and her brother of making racist jokes and saying the N-word — we believed them because it was no longer outside of the realm of possibility after the diabetes stunts she pulled (like only coming forward after becoming a spokesperson for a lucrative diabetes treatment deal)!
Now she’s been deposed because of that claim… and according to a source, she ADMITS TO ALL OF IT — including her brother├óΓé¼Γäós cocaine, pornography and alcohol addictions! She admitted to using the N-word and wanting black waiters to play the role of slaves at a wedding party she was putting together!
She was questioned for three hours because of the $1.2 million 2012 lawsuit launched by the former General Manager of their Savannah, Georgia, restaurant. That General Manager, Lisa Jackson, also claimed sexual harassment and infliction of distress and assault by Paula’s brother Bubba Hiers.
According to the source, when asked by Lisa’s Atlanta-based attorney if she’d ever used the N-word, Paula said this:
├óΓé¼┼ôYes, of course.”
OF COURSE? Like it’s a normal thing to do??
Here’s what she said about racist jokes:
“It’s just what they are — they’re jokes… most jokes are about Jewish people, rednecks, black folks… I can’t determine what offends another person.”
Bullshizz. Absolutely you can determine that, because you’re an adult human being. The choice to say those kinds of jokes is up to you, 100%, with knowledge that they’re wrong. You’re a successful businesswoman, not a child who doesn’t know any better!
Here’s what she said about wanting black men to play slaves at a wedding:
“The whole entire waiter staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white jackets with a black bow tie.
“I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America… after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War… It was not only black men, it was black women… I would say they were slaves.”
This woman’s famous. She has fans and influence. We can’t even wrap our heads around this!
We can’t wait to hear about the full extent of this deposition! Maybe we’ll finally all figure out the truth behind the cheery, down-home facade!
