While there are some restaurants spreading hate, this one is spreading love.
Ashley Jiron — the owner of P.B. Jams in Oklahoma City — has garnered nationwide attention for a simple sign she posted on her restaurant door.

Instead of turning away patrons, she’s opening her doors to them. The sign reads:

Ashley posted the sign after noticing that the restaurant’s garbage bins had been rummaged through:

“I had gone to the back to go put some trash in the dumpster, and I had noticed that some bags and containers with food were emptied and gone through. Immediately, of course, my heart sank, and I knew I needed to do something about it right away.”

Ashley know how it feels to go through tough times; the single mother-of-two once relied upon food stamps to eat.

“Sometimes at the end of the month there wasn’t enough to feed me and my family. Something as simple as even just a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is very comforting to somebody and maybe even offer them a few words.”

Her generosity has sparked a movement in the community. P.B. Jams now has a #ShareTheNuts program — free meals patrons have pre-purchased for those in need to use.
What an inspiration!
