And how better to open the ceremony than the fierce, funny, truly choice comic antics of Jane Lynch?
The Angel From Hell star decided to kick off the show with a super peppy Glee-esque musical number about… choosing!
Performing with who we assume were Sue Sylvester’s Cheerios, the comedienne sang to the tune of Walk The Moon‘s Shut Up and Dance!
Aside from a few corny lines, the opening number was really enjoyable — and reminded us that at this award show the FANS are in charge!!
Lynch then made some jokes in a monologue where she referenced all the year’s biggest trends, and described herself as a “masculine Neil Patrick Harris“! LOLz!
