Professor Oak is not going to be pleased about this.
If you consider yourself up-to-date on current trends, then you’ve probably noticed that most people Millennial-aged and younger have been completely consumed by Pok├â┬⌐mon Go over the past week.
However, if you’re confused by the ’90s Nintendo game’s resurgence in popularity, then you’re not alone — the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. is currently looking to get the three Pok├â┬⌐Stops located on its premises removed from the app altogether!

The historical site has reported an upturn in visitors since the release of Pokémon Go last Wednesday, but many patrons feel as though the childlike nature of the game is distasteful when compared to the heavy subject material of the building.
Unfortunately for tech-savvy historians, according to museum Communications Director Andrew Hollinger, the VR/real world crossover “falls very much outside” their normal allowance for social media usage, saying:

“Playing the game is not appropriate in the museum, which is a memorial to the victims of Nazism. We are trying to find out if we can get the museum excluded from the game.”

While many others are praising the game’s ability to get you up and out of the house… the Holocaust Museum’s concerns actually stem from one Pok├â┬⌐mon in particular.
Apparently, a photo went viral over the weekend that showed a Koffing inside the Helena Rubinstein Auditorium — but thankfully most believe it just to be a cruel hoax:

Disgusting.
For those of you unfamiliar with the game, Koffing is the “Poison Gas” Pok├â┬⌐mon… so it goes without saying why the museum would want to keep them away from their exhibits.
Do U think the Holocaust Museum has grounds for banning Pokémon Go??
