Pumpkin Spice Lattes Are Coming Earlier Than Ever! But Is August Too Early For The PSL?!

no title
It’s apparently that time of year again.
Pumpkin Spice Lattes are almost BACK! And while the basic biddies rejoice, it’s important to note that they’ll be stepping on the scene a bit early this year…
And by “early,” we mean later this month, AKA August, AKA STILL SUMMER.

Delish reports that McDonald’s will be welcoming back its own McCaf├â┬⌐ Pumpkin Spice Latte this year for the first time in three years.
And to ring in the popular beverage’s triumphant return, Mickey D’s had decided to reintroduce the hot drink to its menu on August 31… a full week before Starbucks‘ September 8 release last year.
It seems like a smart move for the burger giant, right? After all, it’s been years since the fast food joint offered up PSLs. Plus, Starbucks is literally a coffee chain. So, it seems like the only tactical advantage McDonald’s has is to release their latte before Starbucks does.
Oh, and just for good measure, Peet’s Coffee is attempting to compete too, by dropping their chocolate pumpkin mocha on that same day.
But pumpkin is traditionally a Fall flavor, so bringing it back while it’s still summer seems a bit much… right? Is it acceptable that this flavorful arms race is squashing our summer moods earlier and earlier?!
What do U think, Perezcious readers?! Vote (below)!
