Kooky Quaids Won't Be Extradited From Canada

Looks like you get to stay, Quaids!

Remember Randy and Evi Quaid? (We barely do.) They were accused of doing a whole bunch of ridiculous things like squatting in their old Santa Barbara, Calif. house and being charged with vandalism and defacing $5,000 worth of property. Then they ran to Canada in fear of a group called the “Hollywood star whackers!”

Well, we guess Randy and Evi CAN run forever because they will NOT be extradited from Canada to face their felony vandalism charges here in the U.S.

Authorities in Santa Barbara had been seeking the return of the Quaids, but looks like they’ve decided not to pursue the matter further.

If the Quaids ARE silly enough to leave and come back to the U.S. though, Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter says they will be arrested.

Guess they just weren’t worth the trouble, which is fine with us. You can keep ’em, Canada!
