World Leaders Are Turning To Religion To Help End Poaching

The animals of Africa are running out of time and running out of options.
And the World Wildlife Fund is turning to religious leaders to help the conservation cause.
Poachers are escalating in their attacks against rhinos and elephants as the Asian market explodes for ivory and rhino horn.
Dekila Chungyalpa, director of WWF’s Sacred Earth program believes conservationists aren’t getting the job done.
She says the following on the matter:

Faith leaders are the heart and backbone of local communities. They guide and direct the way we think, behave and live our lives.
I think this is the missing piece in conservation strategies. … WWF can yell us much as we want and no one will listen to us, but a religious leader can say ‘This is not a part of our values. This is immoral.

Now Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and the like are headed to Africa to preach faith and the plight of endangered species.
Will it work??? We truly hope so.
