Former American Idol winner Ruben Studdard is about to go through a serious change while on television — and we DON’T mean winning another singing competition! Instead, the competition is the fall edition of The Biggest Loser, because he’ll be a part of the show!

When we first heard about this, we figured he’d somehow just be involved! We were super pleased to hear he’ll be competing!
Here’s what the singer had to say about it:
“I’ve never had an issue with my weight. [But] my family has a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart-related issues ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ things I didn’t have to deal with yet because I’m young. But I don’t want to be worried at 40, and if I don’t fix things now, I will be.”
That’s a fab reason!
We’re SUPER excited to watch you, Ruben! We’ll be so pumped even if you walk away with the tools you need to get into shape, even if you don’t win the whole thing!
