A diver was doing his underwater thang with his wife in the Carribean.
They were exploring the gorgeous reefs of Curacao when they came across an amazing sea sponge…
That looked exactly like Seasame Street’s Cookie Monster!!
Mauricio Handler actually swam past the sponge originally then his wife Julia brought it to his attention.
He said:
“It was Julia who went to get me, laughing through her mask about the unusual sponge. So I did an about-face and went straight to it, and worked the subject to light it perfectly to get as much personality out of the picture as possible.”
Ha! That’s so ahmayzing!
The Cookie Monster sponge is believed to be made up of three separate purple tube sponges that have fused together over time.
It’s the cutest sponge we’ve ever seen! So glad someone was there to snap a pic!
