Simone Biles issued the best clapback to Tom Bergeron during her dance critique on the latest episode of Dancing With The Stars Monday night.

In case you missed it, the host said to the pro gymnast:

“I was waiting for you to smile at some of the compliments ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ you didn’t.”

Uhh, excuse you??
Simone then turned to him and sweetly said:

“Smiling doesn’t win you gold medals.”

BOOM!
Twitter was all over her response, praising her for hitting back at Tom’s comment!

The gold medalist has since reacted to her own comment. Following the night’s results, ET caught up with the star to address her disappointing score.
Simone explained how she felt she really didn’t know what the judges wanted from her, from an emotional standpoint. She said:

“I feel like everyone has their own opinion, clearly, and I feel it’s just how you take it. I feel like I am trying, I am being honest, but if they don’t see that, I don’t know what more I can do.”

She added:

“You don’t know which wild card of sexy or of happy they want to bring, and you almost have to read their minds and find it.”

The 20-year-old also admitted that the criticism, especially from judge Carrie Ann Inaba, really got to her:

“I had tears in my eyes. I almost ran to the bathroom at one point, but I pulled it together.”

Way to keep your chin up, Simone! You’re strong as hell!
The athlete has been dancing her ass off in these competitions, but has yet to get a perfect score. We hope things start picking up for her — she deserves it!
