For awhile now, Starbuck has been trying to get its customers onboard with their latest coffee venture – VIA. That’s those little instant coffee pouch cylinders you’ve probably seen next to the madelines at the counter of Bucks while getting your non-fat vanilla latte.
A lot of people are turned off by instant coffee because of the taste. Why drink coffee if it doesn’t taste like, well, coffee! But here’s the thing – Starbucks is so convinced you’ll like VIA that they’ve issued a guarantee: If you don’t like it, they’ll replace it wth a 12-ounce bag of their house roast.
To their credit, that’s a sweet deal and though we haven’t tried it, we hear good things. As we understand it, they’ve perfected a process that actually microgrinds the beans into the powder for instant coffee without sacrificing the flavor.
Sounds like it might be worth a try!
