Teen Mom 2 will never be the same.
The killing of her dog may not have been enough to get Jenelle Evans to leave her husband, but it was the last straw for MTV.
The network long ago cut ties with the controversial David Eason, but on Tuesday they made it clear Jenelle is persona non grata as well by firing the 16 And Pregnant alum.

While she didn’t explicitly condone the slaughter of her French bulldog Nugget, she did go back to the man who basically bragged about doing it.
So how did Jenelle’s castmates react to her firing? Were they happy? Offended? Mixed feelings? See what everyone has had to say so far (below)!
Leah Messer
Leah took to Twitter to voice her full-throated support of the decision:
“ANYONE that condones/contributes/doesn’t PREVENT or STOP animal cruelty or the murder of an innocent animals life is SICK & I REFUSE to be affiliated with! I want to sympathize for my former cast mate but at this point I can’t. ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!!”
As a dog owner herself, Leah reflected:
“My heart was broken when I heard what happened to Nugget. I’ve been overwhelmed with messages and comments and didn’t know how to address the situation. I could NEVER support or condone animal cruelty!! I just started crying when I came home to my Dog…..
I just looked at him/Champ and asked myself.. How could someone be so mean spirited!? I stand with allll of our fans!!!! #JusticeForNugget ???”
Jeremy Calvert
Jeremy decided to go jokey with his response, posting an Instagram Story in which he referred to the news — while *NSYNC‘s Bye Bye Bye played.
Yeah, he’s clearly not too sad to see Jenelle go…
Briana DeJesus
Briana spoke directly to E! News about the firing, and unlike some of her castmates she was quite sympathetic to Jenelle:
“It is really sad that she got cut off. It really sucks for her. I don’t think anyone expected this to happen, especially her, but it happened.”
She did, however, keep pragmatic about MTV’s decision:
“As far as getting fired for something she didn’t herself do, sometimes you are guilty by association. Sometimes it happens like that. There is a lot going on right now. She has some projects coming up so she will be okay.”
Briana ain’t kiddin’.
One of those projects is Marriage Boot Camp, which is reportedly in talks with Jenelle and David to join the next season.
Um… is making “I” statements really going to help when your husband killed your freakin’ dog?? “I feel strongly about the fact you’re a dog murderer.” Just doesn’t seem like enough.
Briana was a bit more pro-Jenelle to Us Weekly, saying:
“I am sad for her. I wish there was some kind of compromise for all of this. She worked her ass off for so long to just be thrown to the wolves.”
Interesting metaphor considering we’re talking about actual canine violence… She concluded:
“I hope she gets everything she ever wanted and I just want her to flourish! She will be OK. As far as David, it sucks that his actions caused all of this but this is what it is and there’s no going back.”
Kailyn Lowry
Kailyn hasn’t spoken since the firing news came out, but she has posted links to multiple articles about it.
For now, it seems she’s letting her Instagram post from earlier in the week stand as her public statement:
“I have refrained from commenting on the disturbing situation involving David Eason and Jenelle Evans while I wrapped my head around the murder of Nugget.
To say I am disgusted and appalled over David’s actions doesn’t begin to touch on my true feelings. I want to make it clear that neither myself or my company, Pothead Haircare, condone violence against animals. Being the owner of dogs myself, I am heartbroken and sickened by what happened to Nugget.
I hope that Jenelle and her children are safe and take the necessary steps to get the help that is clearly needed.”
