Internet profiles offer a behind-the-scenes look into someone’s personality — and, occasionally, the inner workings of their psyche.
That’s no exception for the social media pages of Austin Harrouff — a student at Florida State University who is accused of brutally stabbing two people and biting a man’s face on Monday night.
The Alpha Delta Phi fraternity member’s Facebook page has been deactivated. His sparsely used Twitter account doesn’t offer much insight — though his background photo of an extreme closeup of teeth (above) is kind of creepy, considering…

But it’s Harrouff’s YouTube channel that offers glimpses into his more sadistic side.
In the channel’s description, which was activated only five months ago, the 19-year-old writes, perhaps a bit too telling:
“I’ve got a psycho side and a normal side. I’ve lost my mind. Help me find it.”
The videos mostly highlight his affinity for bodybuilding and freestyle rap, but also showcases his love of weapons. In a video from July 13, Harrouff prepares for a day of fishing by carrying a semi-automatic pistol through the house — looking down the barrel after pretending to pull the trigger.
The next clip shows Harrouf walking through the house carrying a knife — in a scary movie style POV shot — before handing it to another man preparing fishing poles.
His online activity accelerated leading up to the day when he randomly attacked and killed a middle aged couple in the garage of their Tequesta home.

In a July 11 original rap video titled You Do You Freestyle, the student — who refers to himself as Austi Frosti — sings:
“I’d rather cut using a knife and slit my own throat. I’m like Bugs Bunny, I stick my teeth in because it’s funny. I’m like a Looney Tune, I take a lot of shrooms.”
Sure, the lyrics aren’t necessarily deranged enough to foreshadow the slayings and flesh-eating — but it certainly raises a red flag.
His most recent video (posted August 11) was centered around bodybuilding, as Harrouff said he didn’t need to use steroids to get yoked, explaining:
“I used to think that I needed steroids to be a bodybuilder. To be this thing. To be this symbol. To be this lie.”
It’s hard not to hear the inner monologue of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho when listening to this guy’s rants.
Harrouff is in police custody at a local hospital and is sedated while he recovers from hand surgery.
