Tom Cruise‘s new film has been met with a lot of opposition and bad luck.
The Bryan Singer-directed biopic Valkyrie tells the life of anti-Hitler hero Col. Claus Graf Schenk von Stauffenberg. Many Germans are outraged that a Scientologist will portray their beloved countryman.
This past weekend, eleven extras were injured during the filming of the movie, police said Monday.
The 11 men fell off the back of a truck on Sunday night. Police said in a statement that a bolt on a side panel of the truck apparently came loose as the vehicle turned. The extras were taken to a nearby hospital, where all but one of them required only outpatient treatment.
Cruise was not involved in the weekend filming.
