They’re officially off to see the wizard!
We’re still two months away from getting swept back to Oz for The Wiz Live!, but by the looks of things, we think it’s going to be well worth the wait.
NBC released the first cast portrait for the musical on Tuesday, and we’re really feeling the modern costumes!

From Shanice Williams‘ adorable Dorothy and David Alan Grier‘s confident Cowardly Lion to Ne-Yo‘s suave Tin Man and Elijah Kelley‘s rather creepy Scarecrow, they sure do look like they’re having a blast!
Unfortunately, we still haven’t gotten a sneak peek of Uzo Aduba, Amber Riley, Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, Common, or the rest of the cast, but we have a feeling their costumes will be just as AH-Mazing.
