Say whhhhaaaaaaattttt?!?
According to reports, the world’s most expensive pineapple cost just about $2,000 to grow.
The tangy fruit was grown at Cornwall’s Lost Gardens of Heligan and was developed using horse manure, equine urine and 30 tons of straw.
Spokesman for the Gardens, James Stephens said:

“It is just staff who get to taste the fruits as a thank you for their hard work. In an ideal world, we’d use about 90 tons of manure over the course of year which isn’t cheap to source and transport. We’ve struggled to get good manure this year so we’ve had to use electric heaters. It can take up to two years to grow each pineapple so it’s only fair.”

It sure does sound like one tasty pineapple! Too bad it’s NOT available for us to eat.
Whatevs, at least someone else got to enjoy to it!
