Night Of The Living Dead Director George A. Romero Passes Away At The Age Of 77

George A. Romero

George A. Romero has died after a battle with lung cancer at the age of 77.

The legendary filmmaker — who is best known for his horror films including Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn Of The Dead, Day Of The Dead, and more — passed away in his sleep on Sunday surrounded by his loved ones.

According to the LA Times, Romero died while listening to the score of one his favorite films, The Quiet Man.

As Maria Menounos' mother, Litsa Menounos, battles stage four brain cancer, the former E! News anchor learned she had a benign meningioma pressing on her facial nerves. Understandably, the brunette stunner dreaded the idea of telling her parents about her tumor as they had already been through so much.

In April 2017, Lesley Murphy (from Sean Lowe's season of The Bachelor) announced she underwent a double mastectomy after learning she carried the BRCA 2 gene, which puts her at a higher risk of developing breast cancer.

Maria Menounos Announces Departure From E! News Following Brain Tumor Removal

Looks like Maria Menounos' health scare was a wake up call!

After claiming she wanted to "be still for a bit" in an interview following her brain surgery, the TV personality announced via a press release that she was stepping down from her post at E! News. Whoa.

On Monday, the 39-year-old wrote:

"I am so grateful for the past three years at E!. I had such an amazing time co-hosting with Jason Kennedy and working everyday with the wonderful roster of talent on the show including producers, staff and crew. It was such a special, good-hearted group and one I'll always consider family. A special thank you to Frances Berwick and Adam Stotsky for all the support they have shown me through the years especially during these tough times. I will truly miss everyone and looking forward to this next chapter in my life."

Well there you have it. And it seems as though the network is standing by Maria's decision, as E! Entertainment President Adam Stotsky added:

Talk about a health scare!

Back in June, Maria Menounos underwent a seven hour brain surgery in order to get a benign meningioma (which was the size of a golf ball) off her brain. To make matters worse, Miz Menounos' health issue came amid her mother Litsa Menounos' battle with stage four brain cancer. What a scary situation.

Michael Bublé Makes First Public Appearance Since His Son's Cancer Diagnosis

Michael Buble accepts his award with a beautiful speech!

Ever since Michael Bublé's son Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer in November, the singer has been noticeably absent from the spotlight in order to be there with his family during this difficult time.

On Wednesday though, Bublé made his first public appearance since making the heartbreaking announcement in order to accept the National Arts Centre Award in Ottawa, given to him by the Governor General of Canada.

He was actually supposed to receive the award last year, but had to miss the event due to a family commitment.
