What's scary is, the star (whose real name is Jaime Luis Gomez) initially put off the doctor's appointment due to his busy schedule, revealing:

"It all started with a pain in my back and abdomen. I was so busy working that I wasn't worried about it, but I went to the emergency room to get checked out."

Wow. We're SO relieved Jaime didn't wait a second longer to seek help.

Following the heartbreaking diagnosis, the rapper's bandmate will.i.am got him in touch with an EXCELLENT doctor who immediately got him started on an "intense" and "aggressive" chemotherapy. The star also had to have his "mothership" removed.

val kilmer slurs speaking event

What the heck is going on with Val Kilmer?

As you surely know, Michael Douglas previously claimed the Top Gun actor was suffering from oral cancer — but Mr. Kilmer quickly shut down those rumors by calling his pal "misinformed" earlier this month. However, on Thursday, tongues started waggin' again as the 56-year-old was struggling to speak at a screening of Citizen Twain in El Lay! Huh.

Kilmer appeared to be in good spirits at the screening as he even poked fun at his accidental drooling in front of the crowd. Apparently, the Batman Forever star's tongue had swollen up recently and has yet to go down. We are honestly so baffled by the industry vet's mystery illness!

Although the A-lister is powering through his health struggle, he has had to hit the pause button on his staged version of Twain. Bummer!

What do YOU think? Should we be concerned about Kilmer?
