The Mad Max franchise will be resurrected! The only question is, will Mad Mel Gibson return for it?

That remains to be seen but it has been announced that Charlize Theron will be joining the post-apocalyptic fun! She has signed on to star in the fourth chapter of the series, titled Mad Max: Fury Road.

As the film doesn't start shooting until next August, the production still has time to sway Mel to return. But, if he declines, the show will go on without him, says director George Miller, who also helmed the first three films: "It could be Mel, it could be anyone."

Hm, interesting. Who else could it be?

Seksi!

Actress Charlize Theron was part of the live auction during the OneXOne charity event last night, auctioning off a trip to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa complete with tickets to the game, a safari and a meet-and-greet with Nelson Mandela!

The bidding came to a halt at $37,000 when she shouted, "For fuck's sake! You can do better! There is no way I'm leaving here with Jeremy Piven getting a higher bid!"

Ha! The Pivert had just raised $280,000.

So Charlize used herself to up the ante offering up a kiss to the highest bidder. A female in the audience scored the winning bid with $140,000, coming much closer to Piven's number! "My boyfriend is not here tonight," Charlize quipped.

Naughty girl, we love it!

And for a good cause!

It has been reported that Charlize Theron has given up her role in the new thriller The Tourist and is being replaced by none other than Angelina Jolie! No offense to Charlize, but this flick just kind of screams for Angie to be in it. The role is described as "one-part seductress, one-part action", which no one does better than Angie.

The movie is a remake of a French thriller and follows an Interpol agent (played by Angie) who manipulates an American tourist and former lover (played by Sam Worthington) who is suspected of being a global criminal.

Yeah, let Angelina take this one Charlize. You go do Hancock 2. You need to finish one crappy franchise before you can get another.

Joining the ranks of fellow freaks Megan Fox and Kristen Bell, Charlize Theron admits she has severe neurotic tendencies!

And she's not kidding!

The Oscar winner divulged:

"I actually have a serious problem – obsessive-compulsive disorder. I don’t do counting or anything like that. I’m good with chaos, I just don’t like it when chaos is hidden. So I have a problem with cabinets being messy and people just shoving things in cabinets and closing the door. I will literally lie in bed and not be able to sleep because I’ll be like, 'I think I saw something in that cabinet that just shouldn’t be there.'"

Ya'll need to get medication a life!

"I would be an idiot to not consider that part," she says.

An excellent point made by Charlize Theron when she was recently asked about the much rumored role of Catwoman in the next installment of Batman. Though there isn't even a script being written yet, many people in Hollywood are speculating on the addition of the sexy, villainous role to the next movie and many high-profiled names are being tossed around as candidates.

Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie and Ashley Judd have all been mentioned, but Charlize wants her crack at the femme fatale role.

She was quoted saying: "I think what has happened to that franchise is amazing. (Batman filmmaker) Chris Nolan is a genius."

We think she should get the part for two reasons. One, out of the aforementioned ladies, the only one really suited for the role is Angie and there ain't no way in hell they are going to get her. If they do, take a back-seat Charlize.

Secondly, Charlize has a strikingly beautiful resemblance to the most famous lady to don the cat-suit : Michelle Pfeiffer. We think that she'll look just as ravishing as her predecessor once did.

Though the actors haven't said that they will yet, the director of the first and now second installment of Hancock has confirmed that all the actors, including Will Smith and Charlize Theron will appear in the sequel.

Charlize had once said she would return if Will did and Will is said to be consulting on the script. So it looks like a go for the main characters.

But the director reveals there will be one more super-hero god coming to the franchise - but he is keeping mum about who it is!

Hopefully, they take heed as to why the first one was so awful and they do something better with this movie.

We won't get our hopes up though.

Not only is she a bitchy ingrate, but she's also a delusional girl who feigns talent!

In an interview with the NY Post, Kristin Cavallari opens up about returning to The Hills, her career aspirations and abundant lack of education.

She's already over the show, and we're already OVER her!

Here are some HIGHlights:

On why she left college:
I went to one class at Loyola Marymount. I took public speaking where we went around the room and everyone had to say their name. I said, "Hi, I'm Kristin Cavallari from Laguna Beach" and that's when "Laguna" was actually on TV, so I just decided it wasn't the right time.

On her disinterest in going back to school:
Even in high school … it was just enough. I'm really happy with what I'm doing. I read a lot of books, you know. So, no. I have no urge to go back to college.

US Weekly is not a book!

On her National Lampoon, third installment, straight-to-DVD big break:
I'm so excited, I can't wait for people to see this movie and take me seriously as an actress. I was so nervous during filming but I fought for this role. I want people to love it.

On her day job:
With The Hills, they have everything down to such a science, you don't have to think about blocking. But doing The Hills has made me want to act so badly. I need a challenge and kinda feel like The Hills is taking me a step backwards. But that just makes me want to act that much more and try that much harder.

On her career goals:
I want to do great movies that are number one at the box office and also independent movies that are dark and miserable. I see myself with a career like Cameron Diaz — she does What Happens in Vegas and then My Sister's Keeper, so I want to do it all!

On her inspirations:
Cameron is number one, but I also like Charlize Theron and Sienna Miller … I'm going off looks too [laughs].

She dreams of starring in What Happens In Vegas?!?!?!

Actress Charlize Theron is the latest to speak up in support of gay marriage and against the California Supreme Court's decision to uphold Proposition 8!

Says Theron:

"I am deeply disappointed by the Supreme Court's ruling on Prop 8 today. I don't agree with homophobia or discrimination of any kind. I will continue to fight this fight for equality and speak up for the basic civil rights of all Americans."

We agree, continue the fight!
