Due to an ongoing battle with insomnia, Michael Jackson became dependent on the potent drug Propofol, which is used to induce unconsciousness in pre-op patients.
It is becoming more obvious that the drug may have caused his death.
Jackson had dozens of injection sites on his body, which leads to speculation that Michael found a doctor to prescribe copious amounts of Propofol and recklessly administer it at home.
If it was the drug that caused Michael's fatal cardiac arrest, the doctor responsible would most likely be brought up on charges for criminal manslaughter.
Mischa Barton gets a little freaky in the bathroom, and we can't figure out why. Okay, we can. Can U?
Tuesday night, Mushy and some friends, plus her new BF, were enjoying an evening of cranberry vodkas in London when Mischa decided to drag one of the girls to the ladies room. Now, this is something that girls have been doing for ages, so nothing seems too shady at first. BUT READ ON…
Once in the ladies room, Mushy tries to get both herself and her friend into one stall.
Shady!
The attendant wasn't having it and insisted that she move to another one by herself. Though she appeared "pissed," Mushy didn't put up much of fight going to the other stall solo, but they sure had a hellava time trying to get her out!
A source reveals that she was in there so long, people began to get concerned, including her toilet-twin and the attendant:
"At one point the toilet attendant had to knock on her door twice to ask if she was alright. Then her mate was knocking to check she was feeling okay. When she came out of the cubicle, she was complaining about people knocking on the door. She looked slightly worse for wear as she attempted to apply her make-up."
Well, you know, snorting cocaine off a toilet-seat in a dirty, club bathroom would make you look a little shabby as well.
Or maybe she just felt sick. Yeah, that's it. She wasn't feeling well because afterwards she left the club to go home to rest.
And by that, we mean she left and headed to Bungalow 8, another club in Mayfair.
Due to Michael Jackson's persistent insomnia over the last few months, he became desperate for powerful sedatives - despite warnings that it could be detrimental to his health.
Cherilyn Lee, a nurse who provided the pop star with nutritional counseling, says that she regularly denied his demands for the drug Diprival.
On June 21st, she received a frantic call from Jackson's staff that made Lee suspect that he obtained the drug elsewhere.
"He called and was very frantic and said, `Michael needs to see you right away.' I said, 'What's wrong?' And I could hear Michael in the background …, 'One side of my body is hot, it's hot, and one side of my body is cold. It's very cold,'" Lee says. "I said, `Tell him he needs to go the hospital. I don't know what's going on, but he needs to go to the hospital … right away," the nurse continued. "At that point, I knew that somebody had given him something that hit the central nervous system," she said, adding, "He was in trouble Sunday and he was crying out."
Jackson never went to the hospital and passed away four days later.
Despite the rumors about Jackson's pill-popping, Lee claims he was tortured by sleep deprivation and expressed opposition to recreational drug use.
"He wasn't looking to get high or feel good and sedated from drugs. This was a person who was not on drugs. This was a person who was seeking help, desperately, to get some sleep, to get some rest," Lee insists. "I don't know what happened there. The only thing I can say is he was adamant about this drug."
Diprivan, also known as Propofol, is an intravenous anesthetic drug used in operating rooms to induce unconsciousness. The drug can be very lethal as it doesn't take a dose much larger than the medically recommended amount to stop a person's breathing.
"I had an IV and when it hit my vein, I was sleeping. That's what I want," Lee said Jackson told her. "He said, `I don't like drugs. I don't want any drugs. My doctor said it's safe. It works quick and it's safe as long as somebody's here to monitor me and wake me up. It's going be OK."
Jackson would not give the doctor's name.
"I think it's so wrong for people to say these things about him," says Lee, who had only kind words for Michael. "He was a wonderful, loving father who wanted the best for his children."
Sources are now claiming that a severe and dangerous drug used for surgical anesthesia was found at the residence of Michael Jackson. Those same sources suggest that it may have very well been this drug that resulted in the pop legend's demise.
The substance, Propofol, is used to place patients under anesthesia when preparing for surgery. Administered through an IV, the drug is commonly used coincidingly with Lidocaine, as Propofol alone causes extreme pain and burning. One report stated that Lidocaine was found near Jackson's body. Commonly, a major side-effect of Propofol is cardiac arrest if it's taken in combination with narcotic painkillers, which have also been connected to Jackson.
Reports have suggested that Jackson had once begged a nurse for a brand name version of Propofol, claiming he needed it for insomnia, but she declined to supply it. In fact, it would have been damn near impossible for Jackson to get his hands on this drug without a medical advisor. As one source said, "There is no conceivable way this drug can be properly prescribed for home use."
Of course, this then points fingers back to to Jackson's doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray . Sources suggest that because of the drug is so dangerous and inappropriate for home administration, if a physician gave it to Jackson and it resulted in his death,he or she could be prosecuted for manslaughter.
What a mess!
The speculation will just keep rolling in until the toxicology report becomes available in a few more weeks.
Apparently Michael Jackson's family had hired a "sober coach" to accompany Jackson during his London concerts and help steer him away from what might prove to have been a fatal addiction to prescription painkillers.
The situation was so bad that his family considered forcibly committing the singer into rehab, which is possible under California law, but requires the recommendation of two different psychiatrists and approval from a judge.
Jackson allegedly adamantly insisted that he had no drug problem, but finally relented to detoxing at home under medical supervision, along with assistance from a sobriety coach.
The exact cause of Jackson's death is yet unknown, but if it does indeed turn out to be drug-related, it should serve as a warning to anyone out there to seek help before it's too late.
The couple who cashed in on the footage of Amy Winehouse smoking crack in 2008 have been ordered to donate the $$$$$ to a charity!!!
John Blagrove, a drug dealer seen offering Wino ecstasy and coke in the vid, and Cara Burton were slipped more than $80,000 by The Sun in January '08 for selling the tabloid the video of a bleached blonde Amy allegedly taking a hit off a crack pipe in her London flat.
Blagrove, who was jailed on previous drug offenses for two years, and Burton, who received two years probation, were ordered by a Snaresbrook Crown Court judge to cough up the $$$$.
"If it goes to charity, that is the most just result in my opinion," Judge Tudor Owen stated.
The money will now be going to charities for children as well as anti-drug charities.
There are reports now claiming that Michael Jackson was injected with a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart by Dr. Conrad Murray in a last minute attempt to save his life!!
Insane.
How could he even think about claiming he was not responsible???
Dr. Murray was the subject of questioning by the LAPD this weekend about cocktail of drugs Murray supplied MJ leading up to his sudden death on Thursday afternoon.
The shady doc was nicknamed "Dr. Feelgood" by sources close to the pop star and had reportedly known Michael since 2006.
Reporters are speculating that Jackson's heart failed him after an overdose of Demerol. It's believed that Michael's breathing began to slow after Dr. Murray injected the late pop star with what could have been the deadly dose of the heavy duty pain killer. Jackson was then hooked up to a heart monitor, and when his heartbeat became irregular, Dr. Murray reportedly injected Jackson with Lidocaine to regulate his heartbeat.
It was after the injection of Lidocaine that Michael's heart stopped beating.
Dr. Murray reportedly performed CPR on Jackson including "mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and heart massage," but when that wasn't doing any good, Dr. Murray administered a dose of adrenaline straight to Michael's heart.
When the adrenaline failed to get Michael's heart pumping, the now-infamous 911 call was made and paramedics tried to revive Jackson for 45 minutes by manually pumping his heart. The EMT workers wanted to pronounce Jackson dead, but Dr. Murray demanded MJ be taken to the hospital.
LAPD believe Dr. Murray is the key to the truth about Michael's death last week. Said Police Chief Charlie Beck, "We think that he will assist us in coming to the truth of the facts in this case."
One of the big questions that the LAPD must have asked "Dr. Feelgood" was why was Jackson given CPR by the doctor on his bed (according to the 911 call) instead of the recommended hard surface for heart resuscitation???
As the days go by, the picture being painted gets bleaker and bleaker! To which we ask, how could people let this happen????
Specifically, didn't AEG, who was to promote his 50 show residency at London's O2 Arena, claim that he passed a physical? What, did they have some shady doctor administer the tests????
He should never have been allowed to go on with that show!
In an explosive new interview with the Times of London, Grace Rwaramba, Michael Jackson's nanny of more than a decade and an employee of his for 17 years, details the troubled pop star's heartbreaking history of drug abuse.
Rwaramba began as an office assistant to MJ before becoming a nanny to his three children. She says Jackson's kids regard her as their mother.
Grace was a witness to Jackson’s abuse of prescription drugs. She said he took a mixture of them — in her words, “he always ate too little and mixed too much. I had to pump his stomach many times . . . He always mixed so much of it. There was one period that it was so bad that I didn’t let the children see him.”
Rwaramba claims Jackson was furious with her for trying to get his mother and sister Janet to help. “We tried to do an intervention. It was me, Janet, his mother. I co-ordinated it. He was so angry with me. He screamed at me, ‘You betrayed my trust. You called them behind my back.’ I told him, ‘Michael I didn’t betray your trust. I try to help you.’ But he didn’t want to listen. That was one of the times he let me go.”
She fears that the family will now blame her for his drug-taking — just as, she says, he tried to make her the scapegoat for his overspending.
Sadness all around.
If you are currently experiencing emotional pain, PLEASE seek help, counseling, therapy, guidance.
Michael Jackson's primary physician, Texas certified Dr. Conrad Murray, is denying any wrongdoing in the death of the deceased pop star.
The suspicious doctor, who lived with Jackson, is "certain" he is not responsible for Michael's death. So much so that he is going on the defensive!
One of Murray's lawyer's, Matt Alford, says that he met with the LAPD on Saturday. His attorney also claims that the Doctor is not considered by cops to be a suspect, and it is not - at this point - a criminal investigation.
Alford says that police want Dr. Murray to help piece together a timeline of the day's events.
And we're sure they'd probably like to know how many drugs he was on! How many he took regularly! Etc etc.
