Well that's nice to hear.
Matt Damon had a bit of a controversy on his hands Monday when reports came out that he thinks that gay actors should stay in the closet to make it in Hollywood.
However, the 44-year-old taped an episode of Ellen set to air Tuesday clarifying that what he actually said was that people of every sexuality should keep their preferences in the closet.
The Martian star defended his statement claiming that his initial comment was taken out of context, saying:
Tom Hardy isn't the only star who thinks an actor's sexuality is none of your business!
In a recent interview, Matt Damon revealed he thinks that "people shouldn't know anything" about an actor's sexuality!
Now, the 44-year-old admits he hated being asked.
In fact, he says having to deny that he was gay felt like he was offending the LGBT community. He said:
Matt Damon Says Ben Affleck Got His Sloppy Seconds After He Turned Down Daredevil — AND That He'd Still Love To Play The Superhero!
Well this would be inneresting!
Matt Damon's new flick The Martian is right around corner, but that's not keeping him from thinking about what could have been — or might still be!
Damon revealed that his favorite superhero character and comic book he read when he was a kid was Daredevil.
And according to Matt, he had the chance to play Daredevil OVER his bestie Ben Affleck back in the 2003 version!
The character may have super sense but ironically it was Damon who dodged a bullet by turning the panned flick down! He revealed:
Matt Damon Apologizes For His Comments On Project Greenlight, Says He 'Believes Deeply' In Diversity!
Matt Damon sparked a bit of controversy after his comments on diversity during Project Greenlight's premiere episode on Sunday night!
When discussing which director to helm the project on this season of the HBO docu-series, it appeared that The Martian star was disregarding producer Effie Brown's concerns about the need for diverse hiring processes, to which he responded:
"When we're talking about diversity, you do it in the casting of the film, not in the casting of the show."
After receiving significant backlash for seemingly explaining diversity to Brown, the Oscar winner has issued an apology.
While he says the quick exchange was a part of a much larger conversation, Damon is glad that the debate could promote a dialogue about diversity in Hollywood. He said:
Matt Damon Under Fire For Controversial Diversity Statements On Project Greenlight — See What He Said HERE!
We're not quite sure what he was getting at…
On Sunday night's premiere of the HBO docu-series Project Greenlight, Matt Damon may have said something he didn't quite mean.
Project Greenlight is supposed to be a show that gives ALL filmmakers a chance to break into Hollywood — without having to know someone in the biz.
The emphasis is on the word "all" when it comes to filmmakers because in the premiere Damon decided to talk a bit about diversity, but we don't think he came off the way he intended.
While choosing a director for this season's project — which features a black prostitute as the main character — Damon, along with partner in crime Ben Affleck, the Farrelly Brothers, and Effie Brown debated over their finalists.
Brown was voicing her opinion that she liked Leo Angelos and Kristen Brancaccio — an Asian man and a white woman, respectively — saying:
Well, so much for The Donald sticking with this one!
Trump, who has previously threatened legal action against NBC and Univision for nearly half a billion (!) dollars over the pageants in question, commented on the quick re-sale of the pageant property he had worked so hard to own outright, saying:
