OK, so they're together, but not like together together...
But -- and there's always a but -- the pair

To everyone who ever thought glasses looked geeky, please direct your attention to the stunning Lupita Nyong'o!
After all, they perfectly accessorized her fierce Elie Saab gown!
But she wasn't the only one to complement an outfit with a pair of lenses…
She chose a simple black Lanvin dress with a gold hip accent, which would have been okay, if not for her opaque black tights and conservative pumps.
The Into The Woods star continued adding to the average ensemble with a golden clutch and bracelet.
And her hair wasn't even fun!!
Ugh, this kills us but we KNOW she can do better!

Okay, Meryl, you're definitely redeeming yourself!
If you've been following Meryl Streep's red carpet appearances lately, then you know that they haven't been very inspiring.
But the legendary actress improved upon those two looks at the AFI Awards in Los Angeles on Friday in her black slacks and striped black-and-bronze wrap top.
This is the type of glamour we expected yesterday!
The actresses chose far simpler attire early Wednesday for the Into The Woods photocall in London, but later that night for the gala screening, they brought out bigger guns (metaphorical style guns, that is)!
Color us underwhelmed!
Honestly, Meryl could even go for a short hike in those sturdy boots!
Ooh, how sinister!!
Of course we didn't expect anything less from this stunning duo!
Meryl channeled her character's dark looks with an entirely black ensem, consisting of a voluminous coat, sexy wedges, and even a lacy top — and obviously we much prefer this natural makeup to that of the witch's!
The whole look stood out against the red carpet, but it was especially thanks to her dazzling Lorraine Schwartz jewels and bright pop of red lipstick!
They both really killed it, didn't they??

And Meryl Streep brings the glitz!
Flashing a bright smile, she posed for photogs in a red and black floral embellished blouse worn with simple black trousers and red patent pumps.
She simply styled her two-toned ensem with a black clutch and chic ponytail.
65-years-old and forever fresh!
