As you know, Nelly countersued his rape accuser, Monique Greene, after she sued him for sexual assault and defamation.

Now, The Blast is reporting Greene filed court documents requesting the rapper's defamation case be dropped because she says she did not defame the rapper as her statements were true and also protected by freedom of speech. The 25-year-old would like the celeb's case to be dismissed and her original case to continue.

She also points her finger at Nelly's girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, who she claims corroborated his alibi to "further his defamation campaign" against her. As you may remember, shortly after the incident went public, Shantel released a statement saying she was "at the venues, in the dressing rooms, and on that tour bus," and that all the claims were "false."

We'll keep you posted as the case progresses.

Nelly

Nelly has landed in trouble once again.

As we reported, the rapper recently got off the hook for rape charges after the alleged victim refused to testify in court. Now, the Hot In Herre performer is facing another criminal investigation as he is being accused of sexual assault in England.

The incident is said to have gone down on December 5 (two months after the alleged tour bus rape) after his show at Cliffs Pavilion in Essex. The alleged victim claims Nelly placed his arm tightly behind her while taking a photo, before asking her to stay and talk to him in another room.

After she and her friends went to his dressing room, Nelly supposedly invited just her to yet another room next door, where she says he pulled his pants down and began masturbating. She claims he put his hands on the back of her head and shoulder, forcing her head down on his erect penis.

The victim also claims he tried to take her top off and kiss her, but she ran from the room as he called her a "cunt".

She says she didn't go to the cops immediately out of fear she wouldn't be believed.

The celeb's lawyer, Scott Rosenblum, responded to the allegations, telling TMZ:

It's gettin' hot in here… yet somehow that band-aid stayed on Nelly's face throughout the entire video?

Nowadays, musicians treat every music video like an experimental short film with a social commentary. (We get it, Justin Timberlake, you're "woke" now.)

What happened to the good ol' days where music videos were just a bunch of hot people grinding on each other? We're talking old school Britney Spears, Rihanna, and Enrique Iglesias: they don't make 'em like this anymore.

Okay, maybe they do — but not nearly enough as they should!

As you may have heard, after law enforcers completed their investigation, prosecutors chose to drop the case as accuser Monique Greene refused to testify. With the case being closed, officials were able to release the visual footage which linked Greene and Nelly.

Per the video (below), the hitmaker and the Washington local can be seen leaving the Seattle-based nightclub where they met. Later, footage depicts the industry vet and the woman getting on to his tour bus. The final shot shows Monique exiting the vehicle and seemingly calling the cops to report the rape.

Nelly Rape Investigation STILL Going Despite Accuser Backing Out!

Nelly is not off the hook for those rape charges yet.

His accuser may have dropped her case and refused to testify against the rapper, but the police are not giving up their investigation so easily.

TMZ has learned through their law enforcement sources that Auburn police still plan to present evidence to prosecutors within the next week. The district attorney will then decide if the case is strong enough to go forward without the accuser's help.

Nelly's lawyer, Scott Rosenblum, says it's just police doing their "due diligence" but that he's confident the case will be closed soon.

If the only evidence is testimony they no longer have, it seems strange to us they would even be proceeding… Could there be something more?

What do YOU think??
